My Song Family Series with Harlequin Desire starts with my #KoreanAmerican #ownvoices contemporary romance, “Temporary Wife Temptation,” coming February 2020. Here’s a little blurb that goes with it:

“Garrett Song understands his duties to his Korean-American family and their business. An arranged marriage, however, is not one of them. When his grandmother, the family’s matriarch, gives him an ultimatum to marry a Korean heiress or lose the CEO seat, he must take back his life without anyone losing face. Garrett finds his solution when Natalie Sobol, his no nonsense HR Director, asks him for a favor. She needs his money and influence to adopt her orphaned niece, and he needs a discreet and trustworthy partner for a marriage of convenience. The plan is perfect until love enters the game.”

Becoming a Harlequin author has been my dream since I picked up my first Harlequin book when I was thirteen. So when I got the “Call,” I literally almost fainted. When my editor explained that they were offering a three book deal, I screamed, “WHAT?!?! No… Wait…what?!?!” I believe I repeated that for the third time before I realized I needed to make more sense since I have my editor on the phone. It was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life.

But then, this other thing happened. I signed another three-book deal with St. Martin’s Press for my #KoreanAmerican #ownvoices romantic comedy, “A Sweet Mess.” This time I screeched into the phone and likely burst my agent’s eardrum. Branching out into mainstream fiction had been my five, ten-year goal. Maybe. More like someday, but it happened within months of my Harlequin deal.

This “other thing” happens to involve my very first manuscript. It was a story that helped me survive a difficult period of my life. This book saved me. I poured all my love and hope into my words, and together Landon and Aubrey’s story became something beautiful and powerful. Something that reminded me of who I was at my best.

I’m proud of all of the manuscript I have written, but this one is my heart and you will be able to hold it in your hands in July 2020. Please handle with care.

I wish you find joy, laughter, all the feels, and hope in my stories. All six of them (BTW I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING!!!). But from the bottom of my heart, if I could bring you happiness with my books, it will be my greatest joy and honor.
